Documentary Lecturer Job at University of Leeds
The University of Leeds’ Institute of Communications Studies Faculty of Performance, Visual Arts and Communications department is seeking a lecturer in Documentary.
The successful person will have a background in TV documentary film production and a comprehensive grasp of documentary theory. With proven production skills they will teach current professional practice, enabling students to analyse and create documentary output.
The lecturer will be required to contribute to the research strategy of the Institute, and be committed to developing a record of publication appropriate to a department with an international research reputation. They will be expected to initiate income generation and to participate in knowledge transfer activities, teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and be expected to perform managerial and administrative duties associated with the role. Ideally they will possess a PhD and have experience of teaching in Higher Education.
The post is available from 1 January 2009, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Salary: University Grade 7 (£32,458 - £35,496 p.a)
