Lecturer in Animation Job at University of Cumbria

The University of Cumbria’s School of Media & Performing Arts is seeking a lecturer in Animation (Job Ref: 30A08).

The successful person will have a degree in 3D Computer-based Animation and significant teaching or industrial experience. They will have a broad range of knowledge in the field of 3D animation and should be fully versed in at least one of the following major 3D software packages: XSI, Maya or 3DS Max.

The post will involve teaching students at various levels throughout the degree programmes and providing support for student-led projects. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and adopt new technologies and be proactive in the teaching environment.

Salary: £29,704 - £33,432 (1.0fte)
Closing date: noon on Friday 14th November 2008.
